Dermalogica’s Intensive Moisture Balance is a powerful skin moisturizer that thoroughly hydrates, works to reduce lines, and gives your skin a beautiful, soft complexion. It uses a combination of various vitamins, antioxidants, and natural extracts to help repair the skin while also fighting against even the worse cases of dry skin.
Intensive Moisture Balance has been noted as being one of the most effective moisturizers available by both individual customers and professional across the globe (alongside Obagi Hydrate). Satisfied customers have stated that the cream works exceptionally well on even the driest skin and doesn’t feel thick or greasy when applied.
As we mentioned above, the primary components of this product are vitamins and antioxidants. But, as with any other cosmetic on the market, it does have other ingredients as well. Here is the complete ingredients list:
- Retinol (commonly referred to as Vitamin A)
- Ascorbyl Palmitate (widely known as Vitamin C)
- Tocopheryl Acetate (more often called Vitamin E)
- Gingko Biloba
- Echinacea Purpurea (Coneflower)
- Grape Seed
- Wild Yam Root
The majority of these ingredients work well to fight against damage to your skin that is commonly caused by free radicals and also fighting off premature aging. This formula gives a deep moisture while also working to repair any current damage and preventing future damage when the product is used on a daily basis.
Customer Reviews of Intensive Moisture Balance
As we have mentioned before, the only way to truly judge whether or not a product is worth getting is by reading several reviews written by actual users. Sure, you can find a few testimonials on the official product salespage but these are often perceived as being purchased or bias reviews.
Below we have listed several reviews of Dermalogica’s Intensive Moisture Balance that have been posted online by actual customers. If you have trouble reading them simply click the images to make them bigger.
I have used Dermalogica products for over 15 years and have been using Intensive Moisture Balance for the last 7 seasonally for the dry climate of Southern California. The product is excellent. If you feel it is a little heavy, use one of the Dermalogica toners mixed with it to thin it out. It helps with early signs of aging. I will note that if your skin is dry, you may notice a slight tingling on your skin right after you apply. I only notice this after a little too much sun or when the air is very dry. So, if you are dealing with dry skin, you may notice this at first. (Pen – Amazon Review)
I liked it at first, but after using it for a couple of months, my skin has become red and bumpy. I thought this would be good for my dry skin but it just lays on top of my sensitive skin and doesn’t absorb well. Seems greasy. Disappointed, as I usually like Dermalogica products, but will not buy this one again. (Ellis – Amazon Review)
As you can see, this product receives very favorable reviews all over the web. These particular testimonials were pulled from various reputable beauty sites including TotalBeauty, MakeupAlley, and even several from Amazon, a well respected retailer that publishes all reviews, good or bad.
Overall, Dermalogica’s Intensive Moisture Balance typically gets superb ratings no matter where you look. People have stated that the cream works very well even during the harshest winter and doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily or heavy like other, similar products do.
Where to Get the Best Price
Like all of Dermalogica’s products, their famous moisturizer is available from a variety of retailers and online shops. Unfortunately a lot of the local stores and a few Internet retailers like to price gouge customers. But you can get this product for a very reasonable price online. We recommend using Amazon for competitive prices, quick shipping, and great customer service.
